Join me on Sunday, August 30th at 9 AM EST for another, live-streamed episode of Coffee With The Critters on The Animal Behavior Center’s Facebook page. In this episode, Lara will be interviewing Emily Cassell from Small Animal Resources. When we know better, we can do better. Join us?
Emily Cassell has spent her training career working with multiple species in various settings. Beginning as a pet dog trainer working both in group classes and in the home, she gradually moved on to her current line of work with orangutans, tigers, gibbons, and other species as a zookeeper. Throughout her career, she worked with owners of small mammals by assisting with husbandry, nutrition, and welfare. Eventually, Emily started Small Animal Resources, a consulting service and resource to broaden her ability to help small mammals and their people. She has a special interest in rabbit behavior, and has worked with pet owners, rescues, and shelter staff to understand these commonly kept, but little understood, pets. She has written various articles for the Pet Professional Guild and International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants on rabbit behavior and training. She has also presented on various training and behavior topics for the Pet Professional Guild, Animal Behavior Management Alliance, and the Florida Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Coffee With The Critters™ is a weekly Facebook, live-streaming episode that takes place here on The Animal Behavior Center’s Facebook page every Sunday morning at 9 am Eastern with exception to travel and guests. Each week we discuss topics in the field of the science of behavior and understanding behavior with animals from companion, zoo, wildlife ambassadors, and so much more. Feel free to share this event with those you think might have an interest.
